1. 15 minutes before the start of the race there will be a pre-race briefing providing important information about the event, race participants are expected to attend.
 
2. Competitors must start, finish and complete the entire course on a non-motorised bicycle.
 
3. All competitors must wear a certified bike helmet at all times during the race.
 
4. Competitors must use one bike only for the duration of the race.
 
5. Riders who withdraw or pull out at any time after the start of the race must advise a marshall immediately.
 
6. One competitor can not advantage another competitor through the use of forward progression, pushing, pulling or towing.
 
7. Australian road rules apply at all times on roads, tracks and trails forming the race loop.
 
8. Upon registration all entrants must read and sign the terms of entry.
 
9. Slower riders must give way to faster riders where deemed appropriate.
 
10. Riders are only eligible to win prizes in the category in which they have entered.
 
11. Lake Mountain Alpine Resort reserves the right to alter and/or amend the course and race format in order to increase rider safety or for any other reason deemed appropriate on the day.
 
12. All protests must be lodged with race officials within 15 minutes of the result announcements.
 
13. Littering or damaging behaviour on the course will result in instant race disqualification.
 
14. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in penalty or disqualification.
 
15. Please remember this is Lake Mountain's first ever mountain bike event and whilst all efforts will be put into ensuring the event runs as smoothly as possible......please don't be too hard on us. We hope that you enjoy the day!
